Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and CreatorsJourney AS (Norway) for using BloodRivals. Please read them — by using the app you agree to them. They cover your account, fair play, the BloodCoins you can buy, and your rights. Nothing here takes away rights you have under Norwegian or EU consumer law.

1

Who we are & agreeing to these terms

BloodRivals is a location-based game operated by CreatorsJourney AS, a company registered in Norway (“we”, “us”, “our”). When you create an account, tap “I agree”, or use the app, you enter into a binding agreement with us on these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use BloodRivals.

These terms include our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and why. Together they govern your use of the app.

2

Who can play (age & parents)

BloodRivals is a general-audience game. You must be at least 9 years old to have a BloodRivals account. When you sign up we ask what year you were born; if your answer puts you under 9, we can’t give you an account.

That minimum age is a separate thing from the app stores’ content ratings, which describe what is in the game rather than who may register: BloodRivals is rated 9+ on the App Store and Everyone 10+ on Google Play.

If you are under 18, you may only use BloodRivals and accept these terms with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. By tapping “I agree” for a player under 18, the parent or guardian accepts these terms on the child’s behalf, agrees to be responsible for the child’s use of the app, and is responsible for any purchases. Parents and guardians can control or turn off purchases using Apple Ask to Buy or Google Play family settings on the device.

If you are under 13, answer the age question honestly — your answer is what decides how we treat the account. Today, a player who tells us they are under 13 can play, and what their answer changes is that we keep their name out of the game’s public world feed: other players see the event, never the child’s handle.

We have built a parental-verification step for under-13 players, run through Kids Web Services (Epic Games), and it is not switched on yet. When we switch it on, an under-13 account will be held — no play, and no location collected — until a parent or guardian confirms, and we will show the child how to ask them. We will say so in the app before that happens, rather than changing the rules quietly. Until then, a parent or guardian who wants their child’s account closed or their data deleted can ask us at any time, and we will do it.

A confirmation does not by itself change what a child can do in chat: typing your own words is a 13-and-over capability. What it does unlock is a correction — with a confirmation on file, a player who declared under 13 may move their band to 13–17, and that band can type. Nothing lets an account jump straight to 18+.

3

Your account

You need an account to play. Give accurate information, keep your login secure, and don’t share your account or let anyone else use it. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@bloodrivals.com if you think it’s been compromised. One person, one account.

4

Your licence to use the game

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use BloodRivals for your own entertainment, in line with these terms and the app-store rules. We keep all rights we don’t expressly give you.

You agree not to:

  • ·cheat, use bots or automation, exploit bugs, or fake your GPS location;
  • ·copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or resell any part of the app;
  • ·attack, overload, or try to gain unauthorised access to our systems;
  • ·use the app for anything illegal.

5

Be kind — names & conduct

BloodRivals has a young, mixed audience. The text you create is your username and team name, and — where in-game chat is enabled — chat messages.

In chat, every player can send a set of curated phrases, whatever their age. Typing your own words is for players aged 13 and over, and text someone has typed is never shown to a player under 13. We work out which of those applies from the birth year you give us; if you don’t give us one, we treat you as younger. Every typed message is checked by an automatic filter before it is sent — it refuses phone numbers, email and street addresses, links, and words on our blocklist, for adults exactly as for teenagers, because a 13-year-old reads the same channel. That filter is not perfect and is not a substitute for the rules below.

Keep it clean everywhere: no slurs, hate speech, sexual content, impersonation, or anyone else’s private information. You can block another player and report a message; our moderators review reports, and we can reject or reset a name, remove a message, mute, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Blocking is a wide screen, not just a chat mute — it is worth knowing exactly what it does before you use it. Their chat messages are hidden from you and yours from them, including replies, mentions and reactions. Beyond chat, their name disappears from your view of the game: from leaderboards, team rosters, battle reports, your alerts list and the world feed, and from the owner line on their houses, which show as “Blocked player”. Their houses themselves stay on the map, and they can still take your turf — blocking hides the person, it does not remove them from the game.

Blocking costs you warnings. While someone is blocked you will not get the full-screen alert that they are moving on your turf, and their moves are dropped from your alerts. If you block a rival you are actively fighting, you are giving up the warning you would otherwise get. You can unblock at any time: open their profile, or hold the “Blocked player” line on one of their houses.

Blocking is one-sided and applies to what you are shown. It does not currently stop the other player sending you a team invitation or a join request — those are hidden from your lists rather than refused, and we intend to enforce them properly; until we do, treat a block as “I don’t want to see this person”, not as a wall around your account. If someone is harassing you, please report them as well as blocking them, so our moderators can act.

Report is available wherever a player’s name is an interactive chip — their profile, leaderboard rows, team rosters, battle-report rosters and the owner line of any house — and on a team’s row in the rankings. A few purely informational lines, such as the on-screen “someone is on your turf” warning and the recent-moves list, print a name without a menu; open that player’s profile to report them from there.

6

Play safe in the real world

BloodRivals uses your GPS location while you play, so the game happens in real places. Stay aware of your surroundings and play safely. Obey all laws, follow traffic rules, and don’t enter private property, dangerous areas, or anywhere you’re not allowed just to play. Never play while driving. You are responsible for your own conduct in the real world, and to the extent the law allows we are not responsible for what happens off-screen while you play.

7

BloodCoins & purchases

Some features use BloodCoins, an in-game currency. You can earn BloodCoins by playing, or buy them in packs.

  • ·In-app only. BloodCoins and any paid items are sold exclusively through the Apple App Store and Google Play using their payment systems. There is no other way to pay, and prices may vary by region and change over time. CreatorsJourney AS is the seller of the content.
  • ·No real-world value. BloodCoins and in-game items are a licence to use features inside the game. They are not money, have no cash value, can’t be exchanged for real money, and can’t be transferred or sold outside the game.
  • ·Delivered right away. When you buy BloodCoins you ask us to deliver them immediately. Because they’re delivered at once, you agree that your 14-day right to cancel digital content (under the Norwegian angrerettlov / EU rules) no longer applies once they’re delivered. This does not affect your other statutory rights.
  • ·Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google, so refund requests go through them and their policies — plus any rights you have by law. If a purchase is refunded or reversed, we may remove the BloodCoins it granted (and, where possible, items bought with them) from your account.
  • ·Fair play, no gambling. There are no loot boxes and no gambling. What you get for your money is always shown before you buy. We may change, add, or retire items and prices, and we may expire unused BloodCoins if we close the game (see below).

8

The game can change

BloodRivals is a live game. We may update, add, change, or remove features, tune the game balance, or pause or stop the service. We provide the app “as is” and “as available”, and we don’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

9

Suspending or closing accounts

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms — for example cheating, abusing other players, or a pattern of chargebacks. If we do that for a serious breach, you may lose access to your account and any BloodCoins or items, without a refund, to the extent the law allows. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time — see Support → Delete your account.

10

Our responsibility to you

We work hard to run BloodRivals well, but to the fullest extent allowed by law we provide it without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or profits, or losses we could not reasonably foresee. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the total amounts you paid for BloodCoins in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits anything that can’t be limited by law. In particular, we do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for gross negligence or intent, for fraud, or for your mandatory rights as a consumer under Norwegian and EU law (including your statutory rights in digital content that is faulty). If any part of this section isn’t allowed under the law that applies to you, the rest still stands.

11

Our content & your feedback

BloodRivals, its name, logos, artwork, maps, and software belong to CreatorsJourney AS or our licensors, and are protected by intellectual-property laws. If you send us ideas or feedback, you allow us to use them to improve the game without owing you anything for them.

12

Changes to these terms

As the game evolves we may update these terms. We’ll revise the date and version at the top, and for material changes we’ll let you know in the app and ask you to agree again before you keep playing. If you don’t agree to a change, you can stop using BloodRivals and delete your account.

13

Which law applies & disputes

These terms are governed by Norwegian law, and disputes may be brought before the Norwegian courts. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of mandatory rules of the country you live in, or your right to bring a case in your local courts.

If something’s wrong, please contact us first at support@bloodrivals.com — we’d like to sort it out. Consumers in Norway can also contact the Consumer Council of Norway (Forbrukerrådet) or the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet). If you live elsewhere in the EU/EEA, you can contact your national consumer authority.

14

Buying through the App Store & Google Play

You download BloodRivals and buy BloodCoins through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and their terms apply too. A few things they require us to say:

  • ·This agreement is between you and CreatorsJourney AS only — not with Apple or Google. We, not them, are solely responsible for BloodRivals and its content.
  • ·Support and warranty for the app are our responsibility, not Apple’s or Google’s — if something doesn’t work, contact us. Where Apple’s rules apply, if the app fails to meet a warranty you may tell Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); beyond that Apple has no warranty obligation.
  • ·Claims about the app — including that it infringes someone’s rights or doesn’t meet a legal requirement — are ours to handle, not Apple’s or Google’s, to the extent the law allows.
  • ·You confirm you are not located in a country under a relevant government embargo and are not on a prohibited-parties list.
  • ·Apple and Google (and their subsidiaries) are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
